Goals in short supply between Dinamo Minsk and Hapoel Be’er Sheva

The 2nd legs of the 2nd qualifying round fixtures of the Europa Conference League will be played this week and features this upcoming clash between Belarusian outfit, Dinamo Minsk, and their Israeli counterparts, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, when the two teams face off again at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium.
Dinamo Minsk trail by a one-goal deficit after last week’s 2-1 defeat in the 1st leg, but although recent results have been a bit of a mixed bag for the Belarus side.
Тhe bigger picture shows that they have suffered just the four defeats out of their last 19 matches overall in all competitions.
Within this period, Dinamo Minsk have also collected a total of 10 victories and they will have been boosted by their 3-2 win on aggregate against Montenegro side, Decic, in the previous round of the Europa Conference League.
Experience on the European stage has been limited but Dinamo Minsk will fancy their chances of overturning this single goal deficit on Thursday evening to progress to the next round.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva look to be in the box seat ahead of this 2nd leg clash as they head into this return leg with a 2-1 advantage and know they don’t need to take any unnecessary risks to begin with.
Despite a couple of defeats in pre-season friendlies with losses incurred against Wisla Krakow and Cracovia respectively.
Overall results have generally been pretty encouraging for Hapoel Be’er Sheva as they have lost just twice in their last eight matches in all competitions.
This encouraging sequence of results include five wins which include beating Maccabi Haifa twice in penalty shoot-outs, first of all in the domestic State Cup and then in the Israeli Super Cup.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva have also acquired more exposure on the European stage than their Belarusian opponents as the Israeli outfit have played seven ties overall in the Europa Conference League, winning four, drawing once and losing twice; wins against Arda (home and away) were followed by victories over Slask Wroclaw and last week’s 1st leg triumph against Dinamo Minsk.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva will be keen to keep Dinamo Minsk at arms length here in this 2nd leg and this could contribute towards this being a low-scoring affair.
