FC Koln will look to move closer to the European spots this weekend as they take on a Arminia Bielefeld side with one foot in 2 Bundesliga and in the midst of absolutely torrid form that has seen them switch places with Hertha Berlin in recent weeks.

The Berlin outfit, despite losing to rivals Union Berlin two weeks ago, have now moved out of the drop zone after a run of games that saw them beat Hoffenheim back in March, and most recently, Augsburg away from home last time out.

Their wins have created a gap of four points on Bielefeld who sit in the automatic relegation spot of 17th ahead of this one. Worse yet, the club have only won five games and scored the league's fewest goals (23) across the 30 games in the Bundesliga.

Combine this with their current run of form, and there's been very little hope for the club in moving out of the bottom three. Last time out, they lost to destined champions Bayern Munich 3-0, which although never a shameful position to be in, the three goals now mean they've conceded 12 goals in their past four games.

This four-game winless run did involve a commendable 1-1 draw with fellow relegation rivals, Augsburg, but with their 4-0 loss to Wolfsburg and a 4-0 demolition by Mainz in there too, it now puts them in even worse form than bottom-placed Greuther Furth.

Koln and Bielefeld met back in December in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw. Bryan Lasme scored for the home side that day, after Salih Ozcan scored for Steffen Baumgart's men in the first half. It was a decent display by Bielefeld, and they need a similar output here against Koln side in excellent form.

The seventh-placed side have revitalised their aims to get into the European spots this past week, as they defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1, not long after beating Mainz 3-2.

They were halted by Union Berlin at the start of the month in a 1-0 loss, but this remains their only defeat in the past month as they also beat fourth-placed Bayer Leverkusen away from home.

Koln are sitting five points adrift of fifth-placed Freiburg here, and with there just one point separating Union Berlin in the Europa Conference League spot, a win here for Koln is absolutely vital.

Baumgart's side are in fantastic form, and Forebet expects that to continue. Forebet predicts a game of over 2.5 goals and a Koln win.
