Not Much Set to Separate Wednesday and Harrogate in the EFL Trophy

Sheffield Wednesday will welcome Harrogate Town to the Hillsborough Stadium this Tuesday night as the two meet in a Football League Trophy match with their league duties taking a backseat until the weekend.
Wednesday and Harrogate are both on six points following their first two games in the EFL Trophy so far, as they have each managed to triumph over Mansfield Town and Newcastle United’s U21 in their first matches.
It leaves the two on exactly the same points, the same goals scored and the same amount conceded after two fixtures and a win for either of them here and they will take significant control of Group H in the EFL Trophy.
Back on the league front, however, both are experiencing battles just outside the playoff spaces right now and the two are also separated by a whole 25 positions in the Football League as Sheffield Wednesday sit eighth in League One, while Harrogate are seventh in League Two.
In League One, Darren Moore’s side have had one of the most topsy-turvy first quarters of a season in recent memory. For a while, the club were without a win and found themselves slumped in the bottom of the table and staring into the eyes of the League Two faithful.
A relegation scrap looked on, but following on from six games unbeaten in the league they've moved right up into the top half. In fact, since midway through September, Moore's men have registered wins over Wigan Athletic, Sunderland, and Bolton, all of who are above them in the table.
As for Harrogate, it’s been a similar feat for them in League Two as they have managed to get themselves into a relatively decent position after the first load of games. The club have lost their last two league games, but nevertheless, they did manage to beat Wrexham 2-1 in the FA Cup recently.
Harrogate's problems this season have mainly been the defensive issues. They have so far let in 20 goals from 15 games in League Two, which means they have conceded more than anybody inside the top 10 as of now in the fourth tier.
With the drawing form of both sides being relatively consistent this season and how they have both got two wins from two in the EFL Trophy, Forebet predicts a close draw here in a game that will see under 2.5 goals.
