This season has been one to forget for Schalke in the Bundesliga. The Royal Blues have lurched from one bad result to another, in the process replacing head coach after head coach.

Their recent form has been inconsistent, which has been a theme this season for the visitors, as they have won three and lost two of their last five matches in the Bundesliga.
Their recent Bundesliga outings have not been lacking in goals, as there have been at least two goals scored in seven of their last nine matches in the German top-flight.
Augsburg may have mounted a challenge for a European spot if it were not for woeful recent away form, as they have won just one of the last six league games on their travels, losing the other five matches.
Forebet predicts that Augsburg will end their dreadful recent away form by recording a victory in a relatively low-scoring encounter.
