Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen are two of the teams that will be expected to be in and around the European spots come the end of the season in the Bundesliga. The pair meet on Friday at the Commerzbank, with both teams having enjoyed an inconsistent start to the German top-flight campaign.

There are just three points separating the seventh-place visitors from their ninth-place hosts. A home win could move Frankfurt above their hosts in the Bundesliga table.

However, Bayer’s recent away record suggests that they will not be easy opponents for Adi Hutter’s side, as Leverkusen have won in five of their last six away matches while finding the net on at least three occasions in four of their previous five league outings on their travels.

Bayer’s recent away games in the German top-flight have been high-scoring too, with 12 of their 13 matches on their travels producing over 2.5 goals.

To add to the sense that this game will produce lots of goals, 13 of Frankfurt’s last 16 matches on home soil in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals.

When you look at both teams, they have some outstanding attacking options. Frankfurt’s Portuguese pair Goncalo Paciencia and Andre Silva have eased the burden of the team losing their first-choice front three from last season. Both have scored three league goals this season. Silva is looking well at home in Frankfurt.

For Leverkusen, Germany international forward Kevin Volland has managed to find the net in his last three appearances in the German top-flight. The 27-year-old has now scored four times in the Bundesliga and produced two assists this season.

The home side will need to end Bayer’s recent domination of this fixture to pick anything up from the fixture, as the visitors have won four of the last five meetings in the German top-flight.

This game should be highly entertaining, as both teams certainly know where the net is. Forebet predicts that it will end in a high-scoring draw.
