Bayer Leverkusen have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title in impressive fashion, but the country’s most successful club still have a lot to play for this season.

Fresh from reaching the Champions League semi-finals, Bayern Munich travel to the capital to take on Union Berlin on Saturday.

In this preview, we cover all the key stats, trends and analysis. Continue reading to discover what Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts for Saturday’s clash.

Union Berlin suffered a 2-0 defeat to Augsburg last time out, leaving them 13th in the table and only three points clear of the bottom three.

The Iron Ones have managed to win just one of their previous seven Bundesliga matches, recording two draws and four losses in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, Union have lost 16 of their 29 league games this term, failing to build on last season’s fourth-place finish.

Still, Union Berlin can take confidence from their recent home form, as they have won five of their previous eight Bundesliga encounters on home soil.

On Wednesday, Bayern Munich booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a 1-0 victory over Arsenal, winning 3-2 on aggregate.

Unfortunately for the Bavarian giants, they have flattered to deceive in the Bundesliga this season, surrendering the title to Bayer Leverkusen after 11 years of dominance.

Not only have Bayern lost two of their last three league games, but they have also lost six of their previous 17, leaving them 16 points behind Bayer.

Having lost four of their last eight away league outings, Thomas Tuchel’s side are not guaranteed to leave the capital with all three points this weekend.

Head-to-head: Union have failed to defeat Bayern since gaining promotion in 2019, recording three draws and six defeats in the process.

Across those nine meetings, Bayern Munich scored 20 goals (2.2 goals per game), so the visitors will likely find the back of the net more than once on Saturday.

Team news: Union Berlin could be without four players – Jakob Busk, Jerome Roussillon, Josip Juranovic and Yorbe Vertessen – due to injury.

Bayern Munich also have several injury concerns, with Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Tarek Buchmann, Bouna Sarr and Sacha Boey expected to miss the trip to Berlin.

If recent meetings between these two sides are anything to go by, Union will struggle to get anything from Saturday’s showdown.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score in the capital. However, Bayern Munich are expected to net over 2.5 goals on their way to victory.
