Borussia Dortmund are aiming for a fourth straight win in the Bundesliga against Heidenheim. Will our algorithm predict a Borussia Dortmund win on the road?

The Yellow and Black will head to Heidenheim to face off with the Bundesliga’s 10th-place team. Heidenheim are in good form ahead of round No. 20 and are six-matches unbeaten. The team took 12 points from the last 18 points on offer in the division.

Dortmund, on the other hand, won their last three Bundesliga games. Since returning from the Winter Break, Dortmund have been in excellent form, with wins over Darnstadt, Koln, and Bochum. They outscored their last three opponents 10-1.

The team’s improved form has coincided with the return of Jadon Sancho. The winger has an assist in three appearances.

Heidenheim picked up a 2-2 draw in the teams’ reverse fixture at Signal Iduna Park. The match started well for Dortmund, as they took a 2-0 lead thanks to Emre Can and Julian Brandt in the opening 15 minutes.

However, the Yellow and Black couldn’t hang onto the lead, as Heidenheim came from behind to draw. Eren Dinkci and Tim Kleindienst scored for Heidenheim, as they took an unlikely point.

Dortmund have the Bundesliga’s third-best away points total. They took 16 points from nine matches, losing just once on the road this term. The Yellow and Black won their last two away fixtures.

Heidenheim are playing well at home. They took 17 points from nine matches at the Voith-Arena. The team went unbeaten in their last five home matches, picking up 11 points from the last 15.

If there has been an issue for Heidenhem this season, it has been conceding too many goals. Frank Schmidt’s team allowed 35 goals in their opening 19 matches. It is the fifth-most goals allowed in the Bundesliga.

Although Sancho has played well since returning, he will miss the match due to a groin injury. Coach Edin Terzic will also be without Felix Nmecha. Meanwhile, several players are suffering with the flu, including Marco Reus, Brandt, and Gregor Kobel. All three could sit out.

Heidenheim midfielder Bendikt Gimber is ruled out with a head injury. Thomas Keller is out for the season with a knee issue. Meanwhile Elidon Qenaj is missing due to a knee injury.

Can Dortmund continue their winning form against Heidenheim? Don’t be so fast. Our algorithm predicts goals to be scored.

However, the match should finish 2-2 for the second time between these clubs. The injuries and illnesses could affect Dortmund heavily.
