It’s the second home game of the season already for Bayern Munich on matchday two of the Bundesliga season with Augsburg looking to upset the odds after a dodgy start to the new campaign.
Augsburg are yet to get a win in all competitions so far after a huge upset in the DFB-Pokal at the hands of Unterhaching.
In fact, the Bundesliga side had just three shots on target in that 2-0 away defeat and were one of just three teams in the top flight to exit the cup at the first round.

Augsburg salvaged a point in the end after Ruben Vargas scored late on in the game, but they forfeited two points and a win when Tomas Cvancara scored from the penalty spot in the dying second of the game.
As for Bayern, they moved on swiftly from their dreadful 3-0 defeat at home to RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup final where they conceded two goals in the first half.
Harry Kane made his debut that day, but he completed his first start last time out in a fantastic display at home to Werder Bremen.
Kane registered an assist in the first half after a clever volleyed pass through to Leroy Sane after just four minutes in the game.
Sane would also bag another in the 90th minute, as Mathys Tel also scored deep into stoppage time to make it 4-0.
Kane himself netted later on in the match to score on his first Bundesliga outing with a smart finish after finding space from an Alphonso Davies pass.
It was a glimpse into what Bayern fans can expect from the England captain this season with many goals predicted to come in for Kane, especially with the likes of Davies back to full fitness in their creative roles.
