The visitors head into this game in fifth spot, two points outside the league’s top four. However, they are also just three points clear of seventh-place Koln.
Freiburg has lost just once in their last ten matches in the Bundesliga, which was a defeat against champions Bayern Munich. A 3-3 draw at home against Monchengladbach last time out means that Freiburg are unbeaten in three league matches, having recorded two wins and a draw. They have also been potent in front of goal in recent weeks, scoring at least two goals in their last three games in the Bundesliga.
