RB Leipzig’s to Tighten Their Grip on the Top Four by Beating Hoffenheim

RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim will clash this weekend in a battle for a place in the Champions League spots at the Red Bull Arena with the home side in excellent form still under Domenico Tedesco as they now sit fourth.

It was a tough first few months of the season for RB Leipzig who saw the departure of Jesse Marsch as head coach with them sitting way outside of the top four spots in the Bundesliga.

Now, however, under the leadership of Tedesco, they've been in fantastic form and returned to the form that has got them this far in their rise up German football.

The 36-year-old manager has managed to win 12 of his 19 games in charge of the club, having lost only twice and conceded just 17 goals within this time too. A further 48 goals have gone in for Leipzig under his wing, and only Bayern Munich can match this recent run of form ahead of the final few games of the campaign.

RB Leipzig were in the Europa League in midweek as they hosted Atalanta, and they remain in the two-legged tie after an own goal from Davide Zappacosta in the second half equalised for the club.

It has now extended their unbeaten run to 10 games since their loss to the champions Bayern, with them registering a whole host of stunning victories ever since.

A 6-1 away win to Hertha Berlin, a 5-3 aggregate win over Real Sociedad, a 6-1 victory over Greuther Furth and a recent season-best performance over Borussia Dortmund have all come within the past six weeks for the club.

They did indeed hammer their rivals Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park last weekend, as a brace from Konrad Laimer, and a goal each from Dani Olmo and Christopher Nkunku won the game 4-1 for the visitors.

Hoffenheim have lost grip on their top four spot in recent weeks after they lost to Vfl Bochum 2-1 at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena last weekend, which came after a stunning 3-0 loss away to relegation fighters, Hertha. A 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich has also come in this three-game winless run over the past month.

Stefan Posch was the difference in their last win as he scored the winner in the game away to Koln, which was during a four-game winning run as they registered victories over Stuttgart, Wolfsburg, and Arminia Bielefeld too.

It should be a comfortable win for Leipzig and Forebet predicts them to win and see under 2.5 goals in this one.
