Crystal Palace and Everton will meet in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Sunday at lunchtime. The Premier League rivals are just two wins away from the FA Cup Final at Wembley.

Patrick Vieira’s Eagles are coming off of a hard-fought nil-nil with Premier League leaders Manchester City at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace’s draw with Manchester City threw the Premier League title race wide open.

Everton, on the other hand, are battling relegation under manager Frank Lampard. With relegation a possibility for the Toffees, the FA Cup quarterfinals could be a very unfortunate distraction.

Crystal Palace reached the FA Cup quarterfinals courtesy of a third round 2-1 win over Millwall. The Eagles came from a goal down at halftime to win the fixture.

In the fourth round, Crystal Palace defeated Hartlepool 2-0 at Selhurst Park before knocking out Stoke City 2-1 in the fifth round at home. Crystal Palace have not had to leave London this season in the FA Cup and they will host the semifinal fixture.

Everton needed extra-time against Hull City in the FA Cup third round. After finishing 2-2, the Toffees won in the overtime period thanks to an Andros Townsend goal. Everton were under the management of Rafael Benitez at the time of the third-round game.

In the fourth round, Everton defeated Brentford 4-1 before knocking out Non-League Boreham Wood in the fifth round of the competition. Lampard hasn’t had much success in the league, but has won twice in the FA Cup.

Crystal Palace won versus Everton earlier this season in the Premier League. The Eagles won 3-1 thanks to goals two goals from Conor Gallagher and a strike from James Tomkins.

Everton were down 2-0 before Salomon Rondon pulled a goal back to make the final 20 minutes exciting.

Everton have a good head-to-head record versus Crystal Palace in all competitions across the last 10 games. The Toffees posted a record of 5W-4D-1L against the Eagles in the teams’ last 10 matches in all competitions.

Vieira will be without Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur due to injuries. Meanwhile, Luka Milivojevic and Will Hughes are both doubts due to illnesses.

Lampard is set to be without Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Jonjoe Kenny, and Tom Davies due to their respective injuries. Jarrad Braithwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are both major doubts at the moment.

A win separates one of these teams from the Wembley and the FA Cup semifinals. Can Everton continue winning in the FA Cup under Lampard or will Vieira mastermind a third cup win?
