Can Coventry City Put Another Surprise against Manchester United?
2116

Coventry City and Manchester United meet in the FA Cup final this weekend with Erik ten Hag looking to salvage something out of his season, and Forebet has grouped together their probability of reaching a second FA Cup final in a row.

Wembley will play hosts to these two sides with Coventry City down in the Championship looking like the massive underdogs in this game.

Coventry lost to Birmingham City last time out and have now drifted eight points behind Norwich City in the race for the top six playoff spots. It was also the second loss in a row for the Sky Blues, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Southampton before this as well.

Coventry did manage to get a commendable win over Leeds United before these defeats, however, as Ellis Simms and Haji Wright scored goals each in a 2-1 win over a Premier League hopeful.

The losses to Southampton and Birmingham did end one of Coventry’s best runs of form this season.

The club managed to beat Huddersfield Town, Watford and Rotherham by scoring a combined nine goals, as they also managed to stun Wolverhamtpon Wanderers in the FA Cup quarter-finals as well.

Coventry have met many times down the years but this will be just their fifth meeting this century and the first since 2007 with Coventry not being in the Premier League since 2001.

Coventry did manage to stun United in the last meeting in 2007 with Michael Mifsud scoring a goal in either half in the League Cup’s third round.

United are on a winless run in the past four games since they last won in the FA Cup in that stunning, famous win over Liverpool.

Ten Hag's men went behind on two occasions that day with Scott McTominay initially getting United into a 1-0 lead. Antony then scored late on in the second half before Marcus Rashford equalised to make it 3-3 in extra time.

The headlines were then stolen by Amad Diallo, who scored with basically the last kick of the game but he was also sent off for removing his shirt and getting a second yellow card, so he now misses this match.

Since then, however, United drew 1-1 with Brentford before another stunning game against Chelsea where United let in two goals deep into stoppage time.

They then drew 2-2 with Liverpool back in the league before getting the same result against Bournemouth.

Forebet predicts a win for United and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
