Everton are winless in six straight matches in all competitions ahead of this weekend’s clash versus Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round. New manager Frank Lampard will make his debut for the club with the aim of turning around a struggling team.

Brentford claimed a 1-0 Premier League win earlier this season versus Everton. Ivan Toney’s first half penalty gave Brentford the win. Seven yellow cards were handed out in the previous match between Everton and Brentford.

The Bees are on a terrible run of form going into the FA Cup fourth round. They lost their last four games heading into the match this weekend at Goodison Park. The Bees recorded a 4-1 win in the FA Cup third round versus Port Vale.

Everton reached the fourth round of the FA Cup with an extra-time win over Hull City. Rafa Benitez was still in the job at the time as the Toffees drew 2-2.

The Toffees have a losing record at Goodison Park this season. Everton have posted a record of 4W-1D-5L at home this term in all competitions. The Toffees have scored 15 goals and conceded 17 times at home this season.

Brentford have posted a record of 4W-4D-5L on the road in all competitions. The Bees have scored 18 goals and conceded 23 times on the road in 2021-22 in all competitions.

Lampard could hand Everton’s January signing Dele Alli his debut for the club. Donny van de Beek also arrived in January. The midfielder joined on loan from Manchester United. He too could make a debut for Everton.

Lampard will be without Abdoulaye Doucoure, Fabian Delph, and Tom Davies due to injuries. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jarrad Branthwaite are doubts.

Brentford coach Thomas Frank has an injury list that is getting smaller. Goalkeeper David Raya is still nursing a knee injury and is a doubt. Joshua Dasilva is ruled out until late February due to a hip injury. Tarique Fosu and Julian Jeanvier are both doubts due to injuries.

The Bees have struggled to keep goals out of the back of the net. Their last six games in all competitions finished with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals.

Seven of Everton’s last eight games in all competitions finished with both teams scoring. Five of those eight games featured over 2.5 goals.

Saturday’s clash between Everton and Brentford should see goals. The Premier League rivals should combine for over 2.5 goals as both teams find the back of the net. A draw a full-time should send the match into extra-time.
