Their recent home record in the German top-flight is also poor, as Wolfsburg have lost five of their previous six home matches in the Bundesliga.
Hertha Berlin head into this clash on the back of an inconsistent run of form that has seen the club from the German capital drop to within three points of the relegation play-off spot and four points clear of the automatic relegation spots.
A 3-1 home defeat against Koln last time out means that Hertha have now won just two of their last nine matches in the German top-flight.
The defeat also saw Tayfun Korkut’s team concede at least two goals for the fourth time in their previous five matches in the German top-flight.
Hertha Berlin’s poor recent away record has not helped their chances of moving further clear of the drop zone, as the visitors have lost three of their last four league matches on their travels in the Bundesliga.
