Real Madrid to Ease Past Rayo Vallecano in This Madrid Derby

Real Madrid will welcome Real Vallecano to the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend as both Madrid sides clash in La Liga for the first time since Vallecano’s promotion back into the top flight.

The newly-promoted side have been holding their own in La Liga and then some. In fact, in a season where the club were expected to fight for relegation throughout, Vallecano sit sixth in La Liga with a win even taking them just one point behind their Madrid rivals.

Given the stature of the two sides and how Vallecano have spent some years in the second tier, this isn’t the most heated of Madrid derbies and is more for local pride than anything else right now.

Nevertheless, if Vallecano can upset the odds, it will be one of their most historic victories and one which could set themselves up for a European fight down the line.

Radamel Falcao has been one of the shining lights for Vallecano so far this season, as the ex-Atletico Madrid man has four goals in just five La Liga goals so far. The Colombian scored on his debut, but also managed to seal the winner against Barcelona in a memorable day for the faithful.

It was one of their most famous wins, and more importantly, it put Los Franjirrojos on six wins and four defeats and in a position where relegation is merely a secondary thought.

As for Real Madrid, they still have a game in hand they are yet to get to the top of the table this season as a result. Now, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are just one point off league leaders Real Sociedad, four clear of Vallecano, and two ahead of the champions, Atletico.

The 13-time champions of Europe are unbeaten since losing to Espanyol a few weeks back, having edged past Elche and Barcelona in that time, while drawing with Osasuna.

It should be a pretty comfortable game for the home side, despite not having the best record at the Bernabeu this season for Real. The likes of Karim Benzema dn Vinicious Junior have been utterly sensational this campaign and put themselves as some of the very best around in Europe.

With this in mind, Forebet is heading for a Real Madrid win in a game that sees over 2.5 goals once again.
