Barcelona are fresh off a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga. Now, the Blaugrana are aiming for a second straight victory, as they head to Almeria. Will our score prediction forecast a Barcelona victory on the road?

Almeria were relegated weeks ago, as they sit bottom of the La Liga table. Los Rojiblancos took a mere 17 points from 35 games this season.

With three games to play, Almeria can theoretically move off the foot of the table.

However, based on the team’s play this season, it is unlikely that they will move ahead of 19th-placed Granada in the final days of the campaign.

Barcelona are holding onto second place. A slip up in their next three matches could see Girona overtake them in the race for second. Atletico Madrid are also in the race for second place.

Xavi’s team took 12 points from the last six matches, scoring 12 goals and conceding nine times. Barcelona’s recent defeats came against Real Madrid (3-2) and Girona (4-2).

Almeria picked up four points from their last six matches. They were outscored 13-7 across the six matches. Los Rojiblancos are coming off a 3-2 loss away to Real Betis at the weekend.

If there is a chance for Almeria to pick up a win, it could be this weekend. Barcelona are on a two-game losing streak away from home.

Those losses came in the previously mentioned matches versus Real Madrid and Girona.

Thirty-three of Barca’s 76 points have come on the road. They have outscored opponents away from home by a score of 32-22.

Almeria have recorded just eight points in matches at the Mediterraneos this season. Opponents have outscored Almeria to the tune of 33-16.

Indeed, Pepe Mel’s team has allowed the most goals in La Liga, with 70 being scored by opponents. Meanwhile, Almeria have tallied the sixth-fewest goals, with 35.

Barcelona’s defence hasn’t been the strongest. It has allowed 43 goals, which is the seventh-fewest in La Liga.

While the defence has wavered, the attack has played well, scoring 72 times. It is the third-most goals scored by a La Liga team behind Real Madrid and Girona.

Robert Lewandowski leads the team in goal scoring stats with 17 goals. He has tallied 24% of Barca’s goals. Lewandowski scored four goals in his last three matches in La Liga, including a hat-trick against Valencia.

Barcelona should have no problem with defeating Almeria away from home. The Blaugrana are predicted to win 3-0 away by our score prediction algorithm. Lewandowski could get on the scoresheet for (atleast) an 18th time.
