Wolfsburg welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to Volkswagen Arena on Saturday, with six points between the two sides in the early Bundesliga standings.

Gladbach find themselves down in eleventh place – three points above the bottom three – having taken just seven points from a possible 18 this term.

At the opposite end of the table, Wolfsburg sit third with 13 points to their name – three points shy of first-place Bayern Munich.

Wolfsburg won their opening four Bundesliga games this season, seeing off Bochum, Hertha, Leipzig and Furth along the way.

They have only managed to take one point from their previous two league outings, however, drawing with Frankfurt before losing to Hoffenheim last weekend.

Despite seeing just 30% possession on Wednesday, the Wolves managed to secure a 1-1 draw with Sevilla in the Champions League.

All in all, Wolfsburg have lost just two of their nine matches across all competitions since the start of the campaign.

It is also worth pointing out that Wolfsburg have only lost three of their past 20 home games in the Bundesliga.

After failing to win any of their opening three league matches this term, Borussia Monchengladbach head into Saturday's clash having won two of their previous three.

Gladbach beat Arminia before losing to Augsburg a fortnight ago, but they bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund last weekend.

Having scored just six goals this season, only the bottom four sides in the division have a poorer offensive record than Gladbach.

Let’s not forget that Borussia Monchengladbach have also lost each of their previous three away outings in the Bundesliga.

Head-to-head: Gladbach have only managed to win one of their last six Bundesliga meetings with Wolfsburg, recording two losses and three draws in that time.

It is also worth noting that both of last season’s meetings between Gladbach and Wolfsburg produced under 2.5 goals.

Team news: Wolfsburg will be without injured trio Bartosz Bialek, Paulo Otavio and Xaver Schlager on Saturday.

Gladbach currently have four players on the treatment table – Mamadou Doucoure, Marcus Thuram, Stefan Lainer and Ramy Bensebaini.

Although Gladbach have upped their game of late, Wolfsburg are expected to come out on top at Volkswagen Arena.

Forebet predicts that Wolfsburg will keep a clean sheet on their way to seeing off Gladbach on Saturday, scoring over 1.5 goals in the process.
