The final day of the Bundesliga season will take place on Saturday, with all 18 teams playing simultaneously.

Union Berlin, Mainz, and Bochum are all battling for survival on the final day. Will Mainz rescue themselves or will Union get a win and move out of the bottom three?

Eintracht Frankfurt - RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig clinched Champions League qualification once more. Now, they will finish the Bundesliga season against sixth-place Eintracht Frankfurt. The home side claimed a 1-0 win over Leipzig earlier this season at Red Bull Arena.

Frankfurt need a win or draw to finish sixth in the league. They are on a run of poor form, with three straight matches ended in defeat. Hoffenheim can catch Frankfurt, if the latter loses and the former wins and scores 2.0 or more goals.

RB Leipzig are unbeaten in six straight games. However, they drew their last two matches in the German top flight. Leipzig took 13 points from the last 15 points available to them.

  • Eintracht Frankfurt are undefeated in 24 of their last 28 home all competitions games.
  • RB Leipzig's last 14 away games (all competitions) have seen both teams score.
  • Eintracht Frankfurt have won only 1 of their last 8 Bundesliga matches.
  • In their last 14 games in Bundesliga, RB Leipzig have been undefeated on 13 occasions.
  • Prediction: Both Teams to Score

Union Berlin - Freiburg

Union Berlin must win at home and hope Mainz lose to Wolfsburg on the final day to move out of the relegation-playoff place. However, a loss to Freiburg and a win for Koln could see the latter overtake Union in the standings, sending them down automatically.

Union are unbeaten in three straight games against Freiburg at home. Earlier this season, the clubs drew nil-nil. The Irons have to do more than just draw this weekend. Union only took one point from their last six games.

Freiburg failed to win their last four matches in the Bundesliga, drawing three games and losing once. Freiburg’s last two games finished with under 2.5 goals.

  • The latest games of Union Berlin consist of 3 consecutive home Bundesliga losses in both half time and full time.
  • Freiburg have kept a clean sheet in all of their last 3 away Bundesliga games.
  • In their last 38 games in all competitions, Union Berlin have a poor record of just 6 wins.
  • The team of Freiburg has achieved just 1 wins in 7 encounters with Union Berlin in all competitions.
  • Prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Stuttgart - Bourssia Monchengladbach

Stuttgart can finish second in the Bundesliga standings, but they need to win against Borussia Monchengladbach and hope Bayern Munich lose to Hoffenheim. Gladbach won their last two games in all competitions against Stuttgart.

The Foals claimed a 3-1 home win earlier this season. Gladbach have not played well on the road this season. They have a record of 2W-7D-7L and goal difference of -8 on the road. Gladbach took one point from the last six points on offer away from Borussia Park.

Stuttgart won their last two home matches in the Bundesliga. The Swabians have conceded the third-fewest goals in the division (39). Stuttgart are the league’s third-best home team, with 39 points out of 70 total points.

  • No defeats at half time can be found in Stuttgart's 13 most recent home games in all competitions.
  • In Borussia M'gladbach's most recent 6 away all competitions matches, both teams scored.
  • Stuttgart are unbeaten in 19 of their last 20 home all competitions games.
  • Borussia M'gladbach have won only 4 of their last 36 away all competitions matches.
  • Prediction: Stuttgart

Wolfsburg - Mainz

Can Mainz win at Wolfsburg and save their Bundesliga status on the final day? If the 05ers are to win, they will need to end a four-match winless run against Wolfsburg in all competitions. These clubs drew 1-1 earlier this season at Mainz.

Mainz took 12 points from the last 18 points on offer. The defence has been brilliant in recent weeks, conceding four times in the last six matches. Meanwhile, Mainz’s attack has been fantastic, scoring 14 goals.

Wolfsburg picked up nine points from the last six games. The Wolves could be on “holiday” already with the Mainz on the way to the VW Arena. Wolfsburg lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich a week ago.

  • Wolfsburg haven't lost to Mainz in 14 of their 16 most recent games in Bundesliga.
  • In all of their 8 most recent matches of all competitions, there have been no losses for Mainz.
  • Wolfsburg have won just 2 of their last 6 home league games.
  • Mainz are in an unfortunate period, having won just 6 of their last 38 matches in Bundesliga.
  • Prediction: Draw
