Fulham’s faint survival hopes set to be crushed by Burnley
10901

Fulham will be looking to keep their fading Premier League survival hopes alive when Burnley visit Craven Cottage on Monday night.

With just four games left to play this season, Scott Parker’s side find themselves third from bottom in the table – nine points from safety.

Needless to say, the Cottagers must when all of their remaining matches and hope that teams above them slip up along the way.

In fact, Burnley are one of those sides above them in the table. Sean Dyche’s men are locked on 36 points with Newcastle.

Not only have Fulham failed to win any of their previous six matches, but they have also suffered five defeats in the process.

Parker’s team have also won just one of their last nine outings, recording seven losses and one draw during that period.

It is no secret that scoring goals has been Fulham’s main problem this season. Indeed, they have only netted 25 goals in 34 games this term – making them the second-lowest scorers in the division.

Looking at the bigger picture, Fulham have only managed to win three of their previous 26 outings in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Burnley are also on poor run at the moment, having lost four of their last five Premier League games.

A run of three straight losses was ended by a thumping 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of April.

However, Sean Dyche’s men returned to losing ways last time out – going down 2-1 to West Ham United.

In the grand scheme of things, Burnley have only managed to win two of their previous 11 Premier League matches.

On a brighter note, the Clarets have scored in each of their last eight league games, so they will fancy their chances of dispatching low-scoring Fulham.

Head-to-head: It is worth noting that Burnley have only lost one of their last six meetings with Fulham in all competitions.

Burnley are also unbeaten in two games against Fulham this season, having sealed a 3-0 FA Cup win and a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

Team news: Fulham have two injury absentees at the moment, with Terence Kongolo and Tom Cairney on the sidelines.

On the other hand, Burnley will be without Kevin Long and Robbie Brady on Monday, while Chris Wood is a doubt.

Fulham are fighting for their lives right now, but Burnley recent record in this fixture points towards an away win at Craven Cottage.

Forbet predicts that both teams will score on Monday. However, Burnley are expected to claim all three points.
