Bayern Munich may have injury issues and a coach that has asked to leave the club, but that hasn’t stopped them from winning games.

Die Roten won 3-2 against Wolfsburg at the weekend to stretch their Bundesliga lead over RB Leipzig back to seven points. On Tuesday, Bayern Munich welcome Bayer Leverkusen to the Allianz Arena.

Bayer Leverkusen are on a three-match unbeaten run since sacking Peter Bosz and hiring Hannes Wolf as interim coach.

The Company XI are sixth in the league, four points ahead of seventh-place Borussia Monchengladbach in the race for Europa League qualification.

Bayern Munich have won three straight games in all competitions against Bayer Leverkusen. Earlier this season, Die Roten claimed a 2-1 win coming behind to claim the victory. Patrick Schick opened the scoring but a brace from Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern the points.

Hansi Flick has asked to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. It is believed Flick will take over for Joachim Low as the Germany national team coach following the Euros.

The coach has personal and professional issues with sporting direct Hasan Salihamidžić, who has been in the role since 2017. Salihamidžić has come under criticism for the building of the Bayern Munich squad this season and is under pressure as sporting director.

Flick will be without a few key players for the game against Bayer Leverkusen. Lewandowski is still ruled out and won’t be rushed back. Corentin Tolisso, Douglas Costa, and Niklas Sule are all three ruled out of the game.

Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka could miss the game through injury. Flick could play Jamal Musiala in Goretzka’s place after the youngster scored a brace versus Wolfsburg. Musiala has three goals in his last two games.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Paulinho and Florian Wirtz are ruled out for the game. Paulinho has a knee injury while Wirtz is suffering from a groin strain. Wolf could sit out Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby at the start choosing to bring them off the bench.

Bayern Munich are at top the current Bundesliga form table having taken 16 points from 18 on offer. Bayer Leverkusen took 10 points from the last 18 available.

Although Bayer Leverkusen are improving under Wolf, they should fall to defeat away at Bayern Munich. They have lost three straight games in all competitions to Die Roten.

Nine straight games between these teams saw over 2.5 goals scored and both teams score. Expect that trend to continue as Bayern Munich win at home once more.
