However, they are still second in the table, a point clear of third-place Greuther Furth in the race to go up automatically.
VfL Bochum has been a dangerous away team of late in the Bundesliga.2, winning four of their last six league matches on their travels.
They have also been relatively prolific on the road, scoring at least two goals in all four of those recent away matches.
