West Brom are 11 points from safety heading into Premier League matchday 26. The Baggies are dangling close to the relegation zone and have got a boost recently from Newcastle United dropping points.

On Saturday, Brighton visit the Hawthorns looking to heap more relegation worry on Sam Allardyce. The Seagulls are 16th in the league on 26 points from 25 matches. Graham Potter’s team are 12 points above the Baggies and a win would nearly seal safety for next term.

The reverse fixture between the sides played at the Amex Stadium finished 1-1 after 90 minutes. A Jake Livermore own goal for gave Brighton the first half lead but West Brom’s Karlan Grant equalised with seven minutes to play for the draw.

Brighton are in good form for a team down near the bottom of the table. They took nine points from the last 18 on offer.

However, Brighton scored a mere four goals over the course of those six games. Potter will be happy that the defence allowed just three goals to opponents.

West Bromwich took a mere three points from their last 18. They have drawn back-to-back matches in the league securing a 1-1 result versus Manchester United and a nil-nil stalemate with Burnley. Allardyce watched his team tally a mere four goals over the course of those last six games.

Potter will be without Florin Andone for the match due to a knee injury. Adam Webster will also miss the fixture. He has an ankle/foot issue. Solly March will miss the game due to a knee problem. The good news is that full-back Tariq Lamptey is finally set for a return.

Allardyce could get midfielder Robert Snodgrass back from a knee injury. Snodgrass is in line to return in some capacity. Kieran Gibbs is ruled out once more and Semi Ajayi is suspended following a sending off.

Brighton lead the Premier League in draws. The Seagulls have drawn 11 of 25 matches in the league this season. One of those draws came at home against West Brom in the reverse fixture. West Brom have tallied the Premier League’s third-most draws with eight from 25 games.

Saturday’s game is likely to finish in a score draw on Saturday with neither side able to get the breakthrough for the win.

Brighton will be far happier with a point than West Brom who are verging back to the Championship with every week.
