Real Madrid to win versus Huesca in La Liga
2503

Zinedine Zidane’s job is hanging by a thread as Real Madrid go into the weekend away to Huesca. Real Madrid are blowing hot and cold in the division and are coming off of an embarrassing 2-1 home loss to Levante.

Los Blancos are in third place in La Liga, 10 points off of first-placed Atletico Madrid – who have a game in hand. Real Madrid are level on points with second-placed Barcelona and just five ahead of fifth-placed Villarreal. Zidane needs a win this weekend.

Huesca are at the bottom of the Primera table. They are three points from safety going into the weekend and could move out of the relegation zone with a shock win.

The club are on a two-game unbeaten streak in the Primera having won versus Real Valladolid and drawn with Villarreal. Those four points were the only points taken by the club over the course of their last six games in La Liga. Huesca were outscored 7-4 during that timeframe.

Real Madrid took 11 points from their last 18 on offer. They outscored opponents 10-4 during those six games. Despite picking up points in recently matches, the club are well off the pace to win the title once more.

Huesca are winless in four straight home matches. They have won just once in 10 home matches this season and have scored a mere five home goals.

Real Madrid have La Liga’s joint-best away points total. They have taken 22 points from a possible 33 away from the capital. Their last six rod matches all ended without a loss.

Los Blancos thrashed Huesca in the capital earlier this season, 4-1. Eden Hazard and Federico Valverde both scored while Karim Benzema added two. David Ferreiro pulled a goal back for Huesca but the damage had already been done.

Huesca have several names on their injury list going into the weekend. Pablo Insua and Juan Carlos Real will both miss the game after testing positive for COVID-19.

Pedro Mosquera, Sandro Ramirez, and Cheick Doukoure could all three return to the team this weekend from their respective injuries. Antonio Valera is unlikely to make the squad this weekend.

Real Madrid manager Zidane will be without defender Eder Militao following a red card sending off last weekend. Hazard is once again out with an injury and won’t return until March. Lucas Vazquez, Valverde Daniel Carvajal, and Rodrygo are all doubts for the game.

Los Blancos won the previous fixture between the clubs this season and should do it again this weekend. Benzema could get on the scoresheet once more as Real Madrid win away.
