On Tuesday night, Luton Town host QPR at Kenilworth Stadium, as the visitors look to move away from the Championship relegation zone.
Luton are 14th place in the table, just nine points off the play-off spots in the second tier. However, they are also 11 points off the relegation zone. A winning or losing run could well switch the Hatters campaign one way or another.
A 2-1 victory over Bristol City in their last league match ended a three-game winless run in the Championship for Luton. The game was only the home team’s third win in their last 12 league outings.
A big positive of late for Town has been their home form in the Championship, as they are unbeaten in six games, recording three wins and three draws. The home team have been relatively prolific on home soil of late, scoring at least two goals in three of their last four games at Kenilworth Road.
QPR exited the FA Cup in the third round stage at the weekend, exiting the competition by suffering a 2-0 extra-time defeat against Premier League Fulham.
Back in the Championship, Mark Warburton’s team are just two points clear of the relegation zone after a nine-game winless run in the second tier of the English game. The Hoops have picked up three draws in their last four league outings, though.
Their recent Championship outings have been low-scoring, as their last seven league games have produced under 2.5 goals.
Rangers have struggled for results on their travels in the Championship of late, winning just one of their last 14 away games in the second tier. They have drawn their last three away matches in the league though.
