Low-scoring Burnley welcome Wolves to Turf Moor

Despite sitting just outside the relegation zone, Burnley head into Monday’s clash with Wolves on a three-game unbeaten streak.

Sean Dyche’s side currently find themselves 17th in the Premier League table – ten points behind Wolves in 10th.

Burnley kicked off their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw against Everton a fortnight ago, before beating Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend.

Despite seeing just 40% possession and facing a whopping 27 shots against Aston Villa, the Clarets managed to seal a goalless draw in midweek.

Burnley are the joint-lowest scorers in the Premier League this term, having scored just six goals in 12 matches.

However, strangely enough, Dyche’s men actually boast a better defensive record than league leaders Liverpool.

Needless to say, if Burnley can add more goals to their game, they will surely find themselves climbing up the table.

On the flip side, Wolves ended a two-game losing streak by coming from behind to beat Chelsea on Tuesday.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side suffered back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Aston Villa, yet they managed to down the Blues last time out.

The Wanderers went behind early in the second half, but goals from Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto swung the game in Wolves’ favour.

With just 13 goals to their name, Nuno’s men are the lowest scorers in the top half. However, only four sides above them have conceded more goals.

The absence of Raul Jimenez has clearly impacted the team. The Mexican was Wolves’ top scorer in the last two seasons, although he is likely to miss the remainder of the season with a fractured skull.

Head-to-head: Burnley and Wolves produced two 1-1 draws in the previous campaign, with the Clarets extending their unbeaten run in this fixture to three games.

In fact, Burnley have only lost one of their last six macthes agains the Wanderers, picking up one win and four draws in that time.

Team news: Burnley have a couple of injury concerns ahead of Monday’s clash, with Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jack Cork possible absentees.

Of course, Wolves will be without Jimenez. Leander Dendoncker and Willy Boly are both doubts, while Jonny is currently sidelined.

Wolves will be full of confidence following their last-gasp comeback victory over Chelsea in midweek, while Burnley are clearly lacking belief at the moment.
