Real Valladolid claimed an important away win at the weekend and go in search of a third straight victory when they take on Levante on Friday night.

The hosts followed up their 2-1 home win over Athletic Club with a 3-1 victory at Granada. Oscar Plano opened the scoring for Real Valladolid in first-half stoppage time and early in the second forty-five Maranhao made it 2-0. Granada pulled a goal back shortly after the hour mark, but a late strike from Jota secured all 3pts for the visitors.

That victory moved Real Valladolid up into 17th position and the club will be hoping to climb further up the table on Friday night. Four of Valladolid’s last six outings have seen both team score and each of those four games have produced over 2.5 goals.

Friday’s hosts have scored 10-goals in their opening 10 matches but have conceded 15-goals. Valladolid appear to have hit form at just the right time in the season, having trebled their points tally in their last two fixtures.

However, Real Valladolid have struggled against Levante in the last couple of years. Valladolid have failed to score in their last three games against Friday’s opponents, losing twice 2-0 and playing out one goalless draw. With the pair’s last three meetings all producing under 2.5 goals, Forebet is expecting another tight and tense 90-minutes on Friday.

Levante sit one place and 2pts behind Real Valladolid in the La Liga table, but have played one game fewer than their hosts. Levante have picked up points in five of their last six meetings with Valladolid and will be confident they can secure more on Friday.

Last time out, Levante drew 1-1 at home to Elche, despite taking an early lead through Melero. A second-half equaliser from Tete Morente earned Elche a share of the spoils. Levante’s last four league outings have now all ended in 1-1 draws, three of which have come against teams in the bottom half of the table.

Under 2.5 goals have been scored in each of Levante’s last six matches and both teams have scored in their last four games. Given the recent history between the two clubs, their form and performances heading into Friday’s clash, Forebet is backing a draw in this match.

Both teams are likely to score, as neither have managed to keep a single clean sheet in their last six outings, and a final scoreline of 1-1 looks the most likely outcome.
