Barcelona to Bounce-Back from El Clasico Defeat
2845

Alaves head into their clash with Barcelona on the same points as the Spanish giants. Both teams have secured 7pts so far this season, but Alaves have played seven games, while Barcelona have only played five.

Both clubs sit in the bottom half of the table as things stand, and there can be no doubt that Koeman’s men are yet to impress.

The hosts have picked up two wins, two draws, and suffered two defeats in their last six competitive and non-competitive matches. Alaves have failed to score in three of their last six outings, all of which arrived in their own backyard.

In recent games against Barcelona, Alaves have not fared well. Saturday’s hosts have lost each of their last eight games against the Catalonians and have only claimed four wins in the pair’s last 25 encounters. Four of the duo’s last six meetings have seen Alaves fail to score, and Barcelona have scored 3 or more goals in three of their last four games against Saturday’s hosts.

Barcelona only sit above Alaves on goal difference heading into this weekend’s clash. Koeman’s men have a +4 goal difference but their last three results in La Liga have been disappointing. The Catalonians have drawn at home with Sevilla, lost away at Getafe, and were beaten 3-1 in last weekend’s El Clasico.

Both teams have scored in three of Barcelona’s last five outings, including the 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid last time out. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Barcelona’s last six matches, and all but one of those games have ended in victory for the Spanish giants.

Alaves will be without pons Riera Pere due to a foot injury. Tomas Tavares, Adrian Marin, and Rodrigo Ely could all return from injury this weekend. Barcelona are still without goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and defender Samuel Umtiti, while Philippe Coutinho has picked up a hamstring injury and isn’t expected back until mid-November.

Forebet expect Barcelona to come good this weekend against a side they usually always beat convincingly.

Over 2.5 goals are to be expected, and don’t be surprised if both teams score. Barcelona have scored over 3.5 team goals in each of their last two games against Alaves, and Forebet is expecting another goals-filled victory for the Catalonians this weekend.
