Granada and Sevilla to both score in Saturday showdown

Saturday lunchtime marks the resumption of the Spanish top flight season following the international break and an intriguing clash between Granada and Sevilla is scheduled at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes, with both teams unbeaten at home and away respectively so far this season.

Granada started quickly out of the blocks in this new La Liga season by recording early back-to-back wins against Athletic Club 2-0 and Deportivo Alaves 2-1, as the hosts made the most of home advantage in their opening two matches of the campaign.

However, Granada were handed a heavy 6-1 defeat in their first away match of the season at Atletico Madrid which would have been a shock to their system, but to their credit, Granada steadied the ship with a point in a 1-1 draw on the road at Cadiz just before the international break.

The hosts will therefore be relieved to be returning to home soil for this upcoming clash against Sevilla, but recent results suggest that a third consecutive home win may be in the balance here - but two of the previous three meetings at home against Sevilla have seen both teams score.

Onto Sevilla then, and the visitors currently sit in 6th place after just three matches played of this new La Liga season but they still remain unbeaten thanks to back-to-back wins against Cadiz 3-1 away from home and a 1-0 home win over Levante.

The team picked up a solid point on the road in a 1-1 draw at Barcelona just before the break.

That result against Barcelona will give Sevilla plenty of confidence to go on the road at Granada this Saturday and get a result, and the visitors have produced some consistent results lately in La Liga, as they’re unbeaten in their last 18 matches overall.

Within this impressive unbeaten sequence, Sevilla are also unbeaten in their last nine matches on their travels too, which consists of four wins and five draws, while six of these nine matches have also seen goals scored by both teams.

In addition, Sevilla have failed to score in just two of their last 22 matches away from home so they look fairly well set to hit the back of the net at Granada and both teams could well notch in this clash.
