Both Teams to Score in the Milan Derby

Inter Milano vs AC Milan - 17/10/2020

Both Teams to Score in the Milan Derby
2997

Inter Milan have made an unbeaten start to the new season, picking up high-scoring wins against Fiorentina and newly-promoted Benevento. Last time out, Inter were held to a 1-1 draw away at Lazio, which ended their 100% start to the campaign.

Each of Saturday’s hosts opening three league games have ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard. The lack of clean sheets won’t be a worry just yet as Inter have scored 9-goals in their first three matches.

Last season, Inter Milan just missed out on the Serie A title to Juventus by a single point and will be looking to go one step further this time around.

Inter only lost twice at home in the league last season, beating local rivals AC Milan 4-2 at home and 2-0 on the road. Both teams scored in 58% of Inter’s home games last season, which is one of the reasons Forebet believes Inter and AC will both find the back of the net this weekend.

Two of the last three Milan Derbys have seen both teams score, with Inter winning the last four encounters. Despite both clubs playing their home games at the same stadium, AC Milan haven’t won as the away side since 2010. Inter Milan certainly seem to have the edge over their local-rivals in recent years, but AC have made a bright start to the 2020/21 campaign.

AC Milan sit 2nd in the table and have won all of their opening three league games. Saturday’s visitors have scored 2 or more goals in all three Serie A clashes so far and look strong going forward. Last time out, AC Milan ran out 3-0 winners at home to Spezia and won their only away game of the campaign 2-0 at Crotone. However, AC are yet to face one of the division’s top sides, and Saturday’s game will provide a true test of their ability.

Last Season, AC Milan claimed 6th spot in Serie A and will be looking to push for the Champions League places this time around. AC picked up more wins away from home (10) than they did in their own backyard (9) in 2019/20. Both teams scored in exactly 58% of AC’s home games and their away games last season, which is a good indicator as to how Saturday’s match could go.

Forebet is backing both teams to score in the Milan Derby, as both sides have made positive starts to the new season. However, Inter Milan have dominated their local-rivals in recent years, and it’s hard to see Lukaku and co losing this one.

AC Milan’s unbeaten start to the season suggests they could end their losing streak against Inter, but they will have to be at their very best to stand a chance of winning.
