The English Premier League continues on the weekend and the third fixture to be played on Saturday is between Leeds United and Manchester City at Elland Road.

This match will see Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola go head-to-head in the Premier League for this first time and fans around the world are looking forward to watching the contest.

Leeds United come into the match having recorded an excellent 1-0 away victory at Sheffield United last weekend. It looked as though the game was going to end in a 0-0 draw but Leeds United produced the winning goal in the 88th minute.

It was a second successive victory in the Premier League for the club promoted from the championship last season. Prior to the win at Bramall Lane, Leeds United defeated Fulham 4-3 at Elland Road. The hosts found themselves 4-1 up after only 57 minutes and appeared to be cruising to victory only to concede a further two goals before the final whistle.

There is no doubting their ability to score goals, as shown in their opening game of the season in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. However, keeping them out has proved a problem but Leeds United will be pleased with the clean sheet they kept at Sheffield United last weekend.

Trends show Leeds United are undefeated in their last 10 home matches in all competitions. They have seen over 2.5 goals scored 4 of their last 5 competitive games on home soil.

Manchester City suffered an extremely disappointing 5-2 home defeat at the hands of Leicester City last weekend. Having taken the lead after only 4 minutes, it appeared as though it was going to be a comfortable afternoon for last seasons runners-up. However, some dreadful defending allowed Leicester City back into the match before half-time and it continued into the second half as Leicester City scored an additional 3 goals without reply.

Manchester City know they cannot afford to drop points again this weekend as they could find themselves 6 points behind the leaders early in the campaign.

Trends show that in 5 of Manchester City's 6 most recent matches in all competitions both teams have scored. Manchester City have scored 2 or more goals in 13 of their last 20 away Premier League games and there have been over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 on the road.

Team news and Leeds United will be without Jack Harrison as he is on loan from Manchester City. Adam Forshaw has a hip injury so will miss the game and is joined on the treatment table by Francisco Casilla and Pablo Hernandez.

Manchester City travel without the injured Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gündogan, Joao Cancelo, and Sergio Agüero. Raheem Sterling is expected to play as the central striker while new signing Rúben Dias could be on the bench.

We expect to see plenty of goals in this game, with both teams scoring and over 2.5  goals. Leeds United will make it tough for Manchester City but the away team have the quality to come out on top and take maximum points.
