Maccabi Tel Aviv Favourites to Reach Playoffs

We have reached the third qualifying round of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League. On Wednesday the 16th of September there is a fixture between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Dinamo Brest at the Netanya Stadium, with the winners going through to the playoffs where they will meet Red Bull Salzburg.

Maccabi Tel Aviv come into the match having defeated Sūduva of Lithuania 3-0 away from home in the second qualifying round. However, FK Sarajevo struck back with the equaliser on 34 minutes to set up an interesting second half. It was Dinamo Brest who found the winning goal, scoring 5 minutes after half time to win the match 2-1.

Since the victory over FK Sarajevo, Dinamo Brest have played twice in the Belarus Premier League, winning both games. However, trends show they have won only 2 of their last 6 away games and have kept just a single clean sheet across those 6 matches.

Team news and Maccabi Tel Aviv should be at full strength for the game without any new injury or suspension concerns. Striker Nick Blackman is a key player, having scored 3 goals in the Champions League this season.
