Norrkoping and Hacken to both score in Sunday showdown

Sunday brings us a blockbuster from the Swedish top flight as 4th placed Norrkoping plays host to 5th placed Hacken in the Allsvenskan at the Östgötaporten ground with a valuable three points at stake for both teams.
A win for either team could lift them up into a possible top three spot and Sunday’s hosts, Norrkoping, will be keen to build upon last weekend’s 3-1 win on the road at Goteborg as they seek to continue a much-needed recovery.
Norrkoping had previously endured a rough patch of form which had resulted in a five-match sequence without a win in the Allsvenskan and included three defeats on the trot as the hosts had slumped to defeats against Sunday’s visitors Hacken (2-1 away), Helsingborg 3-2 away and a 2-1 loss at home to Hammarby.
However, that loss to Hammarby has been Norrkoping’s only defeat at home so far this season but they face another tough assignment in the shape of Hacken on Sunday, and as 5 of their 8 home matches have seen both teams score to date, the goals market may be appealing here.
Fifth placed Hacken are just a point behind their hosts ahead of this important clash and they come into this encounter having won three of their last four matches overall with victories over Norrkoping 2-1 and Varberg (away and home in 3-1 and 2-1 results respectively).
Hacken’s current league position though is largely thanks to their solid form on home turf at their Bravida Arena where they’ve suffered just one defeat so far this season, but results away from home have been less convincing.
A 3-1 win at Varberg last time out on their travels was their first away win of the season but the draw has been prevalent on the road this term as the visitors have been involved in four draws out of their seven away matches this term.
Points picked up in draws with Falkenberg 1-1, Sirius 2-2, Orebro 0-0 and a 2-2 stalemate with Ostersunds have nevertheless kept Hacken in the frame for a possible to three finish but the prospects of an away win here may be slim as Hacken have picked up just two wins from their last 11 matches on the road.
However, 6 of their 7 away matches this season have also seen both teams score and this trend could continue on Sunday.
