The new Russian Premier League continues this week with a full round of fixtures to enjoy. One of the matches takes place at the Arena Khimki on Wednesday the 19th of August as Dynamo Moscow meet FK Rostov.
The hosts begin the week in 5th place on 4 points while the visitors are in 7th place on 3 points.
Dynamo Moscow come into the game having picked up a point in a 0-0 draw at home against Rotor Volgograd on the weekend. Although this result will be seen as a disappointment, it maintained their unbeaten start to the season following the 2-0 victory at Ural on the opening day of the campaign. It has been a short turn around for the Russian Premier League clubs and the draw against Rotor Volgograd means Dynamo Moscow have lost only one of their last 6 league games.

FK Rostov started their campaign with a 1-0 away victory at Tambov. They made the breakthrough in the 21st minute and prevented the hosts from scoring to take maximum points. However, things did not go so well in their first home game of the season and FK Rostov lost 2-0 to defending champions Zenit Saint Petersburg.
There is no disgrace in losing to the champions but FK Rostov played against 10 men for the final 12 minutes of the game and conceded a second goal whilst having the man advantage.
Considering matches from last season, which only finished a month ago, FK Rostov have won only one of their last 8 Premier League games. However, trends show they have remained undefeated in 6 of their last 7 away league matches and have been particularly good defensively. In fact, FK Rostov have successfully kept a clean sheet in their 4 most recent away games in Premier League.
Looking ahead to the team news and Dynamo Moscow have no injury or suspension concerns ahead of this game. The all African striker force of Clinton N’Jie and Sylvester Igboun is set to continue in attack.
FK Rostov are in a similar position to the hosts in that they have every player available. However, their strikers are yet to get off the mark this season and it will be interesting to see who gets the nod up-front.
We are not expecting to see a great number of goals in this game and it would not be a surprise to see the match end with under 2.5 goals scored. FK Rostov have not been winning a huge number of matches but they have been difficult to beat away from home therefore this match could end in a draw.
