They needed to take something from the game to have any chance of staying in the Premier League but it was an extremely poor performance and Norwich City got what they deserved.
That result means Norwich City have lost each of their last 8 games in all competitions. That includes each of their last 7 Premier League matches and The Canaries have been struggling at both ends of the pitch. Trends show Norwich City have scored only one goal in their last 7 league games. Across the same number of games, they have failed to keep a clean sheet and have conceded a total of 16 goals.
Norwich City have failed to win any of their last 10 away Premier League games, picking up just 2 points from 30 available. Norwich City have won just one away Premier League match this season and that came at Everton back on the 23rd of November.
Team news on Chelsea are without the injured duo of Billy Gilmour and Charly Musonda. There are also doubts over the fitness of Fikayo Tomori and Ngolo Kante, the latter of which has been a big miss.
Norwich City travel without four players and Christoph Zimmermann, Grant Hanley, Moritz Leitner and Sam Byram are all unavailable.
This goes down as a must win game for Chelsea and they have a great recent record against Norwich City. Despite being under pressure to claim maximum points this should be a comfortable night for the hosts. Expect Chelsea to win the game and score 2 or more goals in the process.
