Highly motivated Barcelona to grab win at Celta Vigo
3000

Saturday’s hosts, Celta Vigo, have every reason to be quietly confident ahead of this tough looking fixture against Barcelona as they’ve registered back-to-back wins in the Spanish top flight with victories over Deportivo Alaves 6-0 and a 1-0 win on the road at Real Sociedad.

These two wins have been crucial in lifting Celta Vigo away from the relegation zone and the hosts now hold a comfortable looking seven-point cushion above the bottom three so this will give Celta Vigo some breathing space at least.

Recent results overall have seen an improvement in form for Celta Vigo too as the hosts have lost just one of their last nine matches which was a 1-0 loss at home to Villarreal but they’ve picked up earlier wins against Sevilla and Leganes as well as important and notable points in draws with Real Madrid and Getafe.

Celta Vigo have also suffered just one defeat in their last eight matches at home, but there’s one factor that could undo all of Celta Vigo’s recent positive work - and that is that Barcelona are locked in a tight battle with Real Madrid for the La Liga title.

Onto Barcelona then, and we can expect a highly motivated Barca outfit in this upcoming clash at Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon as Messi and Co look to secure another valuable three points in their quest for the La Liga title and denying their fierce rivals, Real Madrid, the Spanish crown.

The visitors have won four of their last five matches overall in La Liga which includes wins against Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Leganes and Athletic Bilbao, with their one aberration from their previous 10 matches being the 2-0 loss away at Real Madrid in the El Classico back in early March.

Barcelona’s form and results away from home though have been patchy in recent times as the visitors have recorded wins at Real Betis and Mallorca but have also fallen to defeats at Valencia and Real Madrid.

They know they can’t afford another slip-up on the road in this clash at Celta Vigo.

Barcelona undoubtedly possess the superior quality and numerous players that are capable match-winners such as Messi, Suarez, Griezmann and Vidal and they should be able to combine to grab the points for Barcelona here.
