The 2019/20 La Liga season resumed on the weekend and the games are coming thick and fast. We move to the next round of fixtures this week and on Tuesday the 16th of June there is a meeting between Barcelona and Leganes at the Camp Nou.

The hosts are currently top of the League, 2 points clear of nearest challengers Real Madrid while the visitors are in 19th place and in a relegation battle.

Barcelona were back in action for the first time since the suspension of the league due to coronavirus on Saturday evening. They defeated Real Mallorca comfortably 4-0 away from home, with Lionel Messi the star of the show. It was almost as if they had never stop playing and Barcelona have remained undefeated in 6 of their last 7 matches in all competitions.

In La Liga, Barcelona have won 5 of their last 6 games. In addition to the victory on the weekend they have defeated Levante, Getafe, Eibar and Real Sociedad, with each of those wins coming at home.

Barcelona are in tremendous form at the Camp Nou and are undefeated in their last 26 home league games. Trends show they have won each of their last 6 home La Liga matches and have seen over 2.5 goals in 3 of their last 4 on home soil. Barcelona have managed to score 2 or more goals in 42 of their last 58 matches in La Liga and will expect to score at least 2 goals in this game.

Leganes resumed their campaign on the weekend with a disappointing 2-1 home loss at the hands of Real Valladolid. The result allowed their opponents to pull away from the relegation zone, leaving Leganes with plenty of work to do to avoid the drop this season.

That result means Leganes have won only one of their last 6 league games. The victory came away from home at Villarreal prior to the suspension of the competition but is the only away when in their last 5 on the road in all competitions. In fact, Leganes have won only one away match in La Liga this season.

Trends show Leganes have scored just one goal in their last 4 away league games and have failed to find the back of the net in 3 of them. They have also managed to keep just a single clean sheet away from home in La Liga this season.

Team news and Barcelona are still without the injured Ousmane Dembélé and the Frenchman is not expected to feature again this season. Jordi Alba is suspended for this match but every other player should be available.

Leganes have two players suspended for this game and Dimitris Siovas and Oscar Rodríguez Arnaiz will both miss out. Alexander Szymanowski is back in training following a knee injury.

This should be one of the easiest games to predict this week, with Barcelona huge favourites to take maximum points. They should score at least 3 goals in doing so and we could see over 2.5 goals scored in the game.
