Tottenham Hotspur host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in a massive Premier League fixture that will have implications on the race for the Champions League qualification places.

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are out of form having suffered back to back losses in all competitions. Last weekend, Spurs fell 2-1 to Chelsea and now must face a Wolverhampton Wanderers team unbeaten in three straight league matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team are coming off of a 3-0 win against Norwich City. Just one point separates Wolverhampton Wanderers from Tottenham Hotspur in the table. Only five points separate Wolves from fourth-placed Chelsea.

With Manchester City banned from the Champions League next season (as it stands), Wolverhampton Wanderers could achieve fifth place and a qualification to the Champions League for next term.

Spurs have taken 10 of their last 18 points possible in the league. Their home form has been equally as good. They have won back to back games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium outscoring opponents 4-1.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are also in good form picking up nine points from their last 18 possible. They are unbeaten in back to back away matches collecting four points from six possible.

Mourinho’s team won the first meeting of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux. Jan Vertonghen’s goal near the death gave Tottenham Hotspur the spoils after Wolves had battled back from one goal down to equalise.

Wolves do have previous in north London having beaten Tottenham Hotspur last season 3-1 away from home. The two teams have seen a trend of the away team winning each of the last three Premier League games between them.

Mourinho will be without four players this weekend as long-term absentees Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko are both ruled out. Heung-min Son and Juan Foyth are both set to miss the game as well due to injuries.

Ryan Sessegnon is in the running for a place on the bench as he recovers from muscle tightness. The wide player has had a start-stop season due to injuries.

Santo has just one payer set to miss the game at the weekend. Wing-back Jonny Otto is out with an ankle issue.

Wolves are coming off of a Thursday night match in Barcelona against Espanyol. The travel and big-time match in midweek should have a negative effect on Wolves. Tottenham Hotspur should gain the victory with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals tallied.
