Swansea to return to winning ways against QPR
Swansea City vs QPR - 11/02/2020
2596
Although Swansea city have lost two of their last three matches in the Championship, with their latest defeat coming on the weekend in a 3-2 loss at home to Derby County, The Swans stand a decent chance of bouncing back with all three points when a beleaguered QPR visit their Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
Swansea had also been handed a previous 2-0 defeat away from home at a resurgent Stoke City, but they did gain a point in a useful 1-1 draw on the road at Preston North End, while form at home has generally been pretty steady in recent times.
The hosts have lost just 1 of their last 6 matches at the Liberty Stadium and within this period The Swans have picked up wins against Middlesbrough, Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic which has helped the Welsh outfit keep the top six and the play-off pack in their sights.

With just a 4-point margin separating Swansea City from 6th placed Preston North End, Tuesday night’s hosts, Swansea, will no doubt be keen to make home advantage count here.
Onto QPR, and the London club were handed a fourth defeat in five matches in the Championship on the weekend as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat away from home at Huddersfield Town.
Having suffered recent defeats to Brentford, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City as well, this current spate of defeats has resulted in QPR dropping down the Championship table to 17th place and their descent down the table seems to be gathering pace.
To make matters worse, QPR’s results away from home have been woeful as The R’s have lost their last 5 matches on the trot away from home and indeed have managed to record just 1 away win out of their last 9 matches on the road.
That rare win on their travels was achieved with a 2-0 win at a then struggling Birmingham City, but their subsequent 5 defeats on the trot have seen QPR concede a total of 13 goals and score just 5 in reply.
The previous history when travelling to Wales also hasn’t been great for QPR as they’ve lost their last 3 away matches in Swansea on the trot and they could be heading for a fourth on Tuesday night.
