QPR and Bristol City to both score at Loftus Road

Inconsistent QPR will once again be looking to bounce back from defeat when they return to Loftus Road this Saturday where they’ll entertain Bristol City with the hosts relying on their results on home turf to dig them out of a hole.

QPR have won and lost in alternate fashion over the past few weeks as the hosts have registered wins over Cardiff City 6-1 and a 1-0 win against Leeds United, both of which were at home, while also suffering defeats to Hull City (2-1 at home) and back-to-back defeats away from home at Brentford and Blackburn Rovers in 3-1 and 2-1 losses respectively.

Overall though, it’s been another Championship campaign to forget for R’s fans, particularly in recent times as their side have picked up just 2 wins out of their last 8 matches in the second tier, as the hosts have been unable to put any sort of winning momentum together.

Things look a little brighter at home though where QPR have lost just 1 of their last 5 matches but inconsistency lends itself towards the goals markets, and indeed, 11 of QPR’s 15 home matches have seen both teams score.

Onto Bristol City, and following a dismal period of results which saw The Robins lose 4 league matches on the trot in the Championship, the visitors have seemingly got themselves back on an even keel ahead of their trip down to the nation’s capital this Saturday.

Losses to Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic had resulted in Bristol City dropping out of the play-off pack, but Lee Johnson’s side have since staged a welcome recovery by winning 4 of their subsequent 5 matches overall.

Wins against Luton Town, Wigan Athletic, Barnsley and Reading have helped lift the west country outfit back into 6th place and into the play-off pack, but the difficult job now is to remain there.

There’s still work to do away from home as the visitors have won just 4 of their last 11 matches on their travels, so Bristol City are far from being nailed-on winners at QPR here this Saturday as a result.

Instead, 10 of City’s last 15 away matches have seen both teams score while 4 of the last 7 meetings between these two sides have also seen both teams notch.
