Brighton are coming off of a fantastic win over Arsenal and the Emirates, 2-1, on Thursday night to end a three-match losing streak. The Seagulls will now aim to continue their winning ways against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex.

Wolverhampton Wanderers continued their unbeaten form with a win over West Ham 2-0 on Wednesday. Nuno Espirito Santo’s teams is in fifth place with 23 points from 45 possible. Wolves could realistically break into the top four as just six points separate them with Chelsea.

These teams met twice last season in the league with Brighton taking four points from six off of Wolves. Their match on the south coast ended 1-0 in favour of Brighton while the fixture played at Molineaux saw a nil-nil stalemate. Brighton surprisingly held Wolves to back to back clean sheets.

Wolves are on a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions. Aston Villa were the last side to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers in October. That loss came in the EFL Cup.

To find Wolverhampton Wanderers’ last Premier League loss, you would need to go back to mid-September. Wolves fell 5-2 to Chelsea at Molineaux on that day. Since then, Wolverhampton Wanderers have gone 10 league games without a loss.

Brighton’s win over Arsenal shot them up the table to 13th place. The Seagulls have taken 18 points from 45 possible and sit four points above the relegation zone. Home has been kind to Brighton this season as they have taken 11 of their points at the Amex.

Manager Graham Potter has three injury issues on the south coast. Jose Izquierdo is ruled out with a knee injury. Solomon March is still recovering from a groin issue and may not be ready in time for the fixture. Meanwhile, Bernardo is set to undergo a late fitness test.

Santo has two injured players that will not make the trip to Brighton. Willy Boly has a long-term injury and won’t be back until later this season from a fractured foot. Morgan White-Gibbs is also ruled out due to a back injury. He was expected back in November but had a setback with the injury.

Wolves’ summer signing Patrick Cutrone scored in midweek and could be getting more comfortable in the league. Could the Italian get a goal against Brighton?

Sunday’s match should be a close affair. The last 180 minutes of football between Brighton and Wolverhampton Wanderers finished with just one goal. The two sides should play out a draw at the Amex with both teams scoring. The fixture should end with under 2.5 goals scored.
