Swansea to take the spoils against Millwall
Swansea City vs Millwall - 23/11/2019
2688
Swansea City extended their unbeaten run to 3 matches without defeat in the Championship just before the international break when they gained a well earned point in a 2-2 draw away at Sheffield Wednesday.
This result followed previous back-to-back wins against arch-rivals Cardiff City in the local derby along with a 2-1 win away at Wigan Athletic which has helped maintain Swansea’s challenge for a play-off place, and the hosts sit in 4th place prior to this Saturday’s clash with Millwall.
Swansea had earlier suffered something of a decline in results as The Swans registered just 1 win during a lean period of 7 matches in the Championship which was a 2-1 win away from home at Charlton Athletic, but they seem to have recovered from that worrying spell in recent times.

The hosts had started their campaign in blistering fashion as they’d racked up 3 wins on the trot at their Liberty Stadium with victories over Hull City, Preston North End and Birmingham City but the recent derby win against Cardiff ended a run of 4 matches without a win at home.
Millwall have suffered just 1 defeat out of their first 4 matches under manager, Gary Rowett’s new tenure at The Den which was a 2-1 loss away at Reading but recent wins against Stoke City 2-0 and Charlton Athletic 2-1 have helped lift The Lions up into a more respectable looking 15th place in the Championship.
It should be noted though, that both of these aforementioned victories were achieved at The Den where they’ve won all 5 of their wins to date this season, while wins on the road have continued to elude the London club so far this term.
Millwall’s return on their travels so far has been a measly 4 points out of the possible 24 on offer to date, thanks to 4 draws at West Brom, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield Town, Luton Town respectively.
The visitors have also fallen to 4 defeats on the road too with losses incurred at Fulham, Blackburn Rovers, Brentford and Reading and the bigger picture shows that Millwall have managed just 1 away win out of their last 15 matches on their travels in the Championship.
This should therefore be a comfortable win for Swansea City here.
