Crystal Palace shocked Arsenal at the Emirates last season winning 3-2. The Gunners will aim to do better but coming off of a midweek Europa League fixture, will go into the match a little leggy.

Arsenal suffered a shock last Monday in the Premier League against Sheffield United as the Blades won at home 1-0. Now, Unai Emery, who just avoided a Europa League loss to Vitoria courtesy of two Nicolas Pepe free-kicks, will hope for a fourth home win.

The story for Arsenal under Emery has stayed consistent, the Gunners get results at the Emirates but drop points away from home. Arsenal are undefeated at the Emirates with 10 of their 15 points being won at home. They head into the weekend unbeaten at the north London stadium.

Crystal Palace head to the Emirates following a 2-0 loss to Manchester City at home. The loss to the Cityzens ended a three-match unbeaten run. Still, the Eagles are just one point and one place behind Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Roy Hodgson’s team is unbeaten against Arsenal in their last two league meetings. Crystal Palace took four of six points off of the Gunners in 2018-19. Emery’s team should play well at home especially after their come from behind win over Vitoria.

Pepe rose to the occasion to bag two free-kick goals. However, the forward continues to struggle in the Arsenal the final third. Pepe could be paired with either Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack.

Lacazette is just back from injury and featured for the Gunners against Vitoria in midweek. Emery could rotate his attacking three. The only player Emery doesn’t have available is Reiss Nelson who will miss out courtesy of a knee injury.

Hodgson has several issues to contend with in the injury department. Starting goalkeeper Vincente Guaita missed last weekend’s match against Manchester City due to a groin injury. He could miss out again allowing Will Hennessey to take his place once more.

Martin Kelly is also likely to miss out due to a groin issue. Meanwhile, Connor Wickham and Mamadou Sakho are both ruled out with long-term injuries.

Arsenal are unbeaten in 10 of their last 12 matches against Crystal Palace. Although the Eagles took four points from six last season, the Gunners will be stronger at the Emirates this time around.

The last five matches between Arsenal and Crystal Palace saw over 2.5 goals scored. Eight of the last 10 games saw both teams score.

Sunday’s showdown at the Emirates should feature both teams scoring with Arsenal picking up a win. Both teams will once again combine for over 2.5 goals.
