Chelsea take on Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday with both teams sitting on 4 points.

This will be the first top-flight meeting between Chelsea and Sheff Utd since the 2006/07 season, when the Blues claimed victories home and away against the Blades.

Both teams have a record of W1-D1-L1 in the league this season, but Chelsea are unbeaten in their last two matches and Frank Lampard will be hoping his side can maintain their promising run.

Sheffield United drew with Bournemouth on the opening day before beating Crystal Palace in Round 2. However, a 2-1 defeat to Leicester last time out put an end to the Blades’ impressive start.

Chelsea began with a 4-0 loss to Manchester United but have since drawn with Leicester and beaten Norwich.

Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have arguably been Chelsea’s top performers this season and Lampard has shown huge faith in his young stars.

Mount took his tally to 2 goals for the season with a great finish against Norwich while Tammy Abraham opened his account with a brace at Carrow Road.

Still, Chelsea will need to tighten up defensively as the team has already conceded 7 goals from 3 matches and currently have an unhealthy goal difference of –3.

On the other hand, Sheffield United have conceded just 3 times so far this season, but have also managed just 3 in reply.

Sheff Utd are extremely organized under Chris Wilder and don’t tend to leak many goals. Their main issue will be finding the net at the other end of the pitch this season.

Wilder will be hoping that key man John Fleck will be available for selection again following his absence from the team due to injury.

For Chelsea, Antonio Rudiger and N’golo Kante will be hopeful of returning to the matchday squad on Saturday while Pedro and Mason Mount are doubts.

Sheffield United last beat Chelsea all the way back in 1993 and it’s unlikely that they will pick up their first win in almost 25 years against the Blues this weekend.

Remarkably, none of the previous 10 matches between the two teams have ended in a draw, with both sides claiming 5 wins each.

With history suggesting that a draw is off the cards this time around, Chelsea look set to make it two wins in as many matches.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will keep a clean sheet while claiming all three points.
