Derby County head into this Tuesday night clash with Bristol City remaining unbeaten so far this season after four matches played of this campaign to date, and The Rams will no doubt be keen to extend this sequence on home turf here.

Derby recorded an opening day of the season 2-1 win away at Huddersfield Town to get Derby off to a good start under new manager, Philip Cocu, who replaced former manager, Frank Lampard who has returned to Chelsea to manage the London club in the Premier League.

The Rams then followed that opening day win with points against Swansea City in a 0-0 stalemate and a 2-2 draw with last season’s draw specialists, Stoke City, which means Derby are still unbeaten in the Championship this season.

Derby reached the play-off final last season but were beaten by Aston Villa, so the hosts will be keen to go one step better this time, while goals also featured on a regular basis with 9 of Derby’s last 15 matches resulting with both teams scoring.

Onto Bristol City, and The Robins have struggled somewhat so far in this Championship season as they started the term without a win from their first three matches of the new campaign.

Bristol City found themselves on the end of a heavy 3-1 defeat at home to Leeds United on the opening day of the new Championship season, and the results didn’t improve after that either as The Robins drew 1-1 away at Birmingham City, but then suffered an early exit from the League Cup.

A 3-3 draw at the end of normal time with QPR eventually resulted in City going out on penalties to the London club, but the west country club had a chance to avenge this loss straight away as they played QPR on the weekend.

A 2-0 home win against QPR at Ashton Gate was enough for Lee Johnson’s men to grab the first 3 points of their second tier campaign, and they’ll now head up to the east midlands to face Derby County in reasonably confident mood.

Bristol City are susceptible to conceding goals though, and this is evident as 10 of Bristol City’s last 15 matches in the Championship have seen both teams score.

Derby County have made a good start while Bristol City can score and concede in equal measure so both teams could well score on Tuesday night.
