Frankfurt to cruise into the Europa League play-offs

Eintracht Frankfurt have been one of the biggest overachievers in the German Bundesliga in recent seasons. The German side made it to the semi-final of the Europa League last season too.

Frankfurt head into their second qualifying second leg of the competition against Flora Tallinn 2-1 up from the first leg in Estonia.

On paper, there is no comparison between the two teams in terms of quality. As expected considering the fact that Frankfurt made the last four of the competition last season, the home side has a respectable record in the Europa League.

In fact, incredibly, they have suffered just one defeat in 90 minutes in their last 19 matches in the competition dating back to 2013. The German side held Premier League Chelsea to two draws last season in the semi-finals, only to suffer defeat on penalty kicks.

Their attacking prowess has been the key to their recent good home form in Europe, as they have scored at least twice in ten of their last 12 matches.

Flora Tallinn have a mixed recent record in the Europa League of late. However, a record of two wins in their last eight European outings is not one that will frighten the home side.

A poor defensive record has contributed to that less than stellar recent record in this competition, as the visitors have conceded at least twice in six of their last eight outings in the competition.

Eintracht Frankfurt head into this clash as big favourites to progress into the next round. Therefore, it is no surprise that Forebet predicts that the German side will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
