Norway’s Brann resume their Eliteserien campaign on Sunday evening as Lillestroem come to town. Brann sit in fourth place in the league having collected 18 of 36 points possible.

The Bergen-based club has already played two more games than its rivals. Brann need to continue picking up points to have any hope of challenging for a Europa League qualification place.

Lillestroem are 11th in the Eliteserien and could be sucked into a relegation fight. The Canaries are two points above the bottom three. Depending on results elsewhere, Lillestroem could find themselves in the bottom three at the end of the weekend.

Brann are unbeaten in four of their last five matches in the league. Three of those fixtures ended in victory for the club. Brann’s most recent match against FK Haugesund ended in a 1-1 draw. It came on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg.

The club has struggled at home in recent weeks. Two of Brann’s last three home matches ended in defeat. Ranheim and Rosenborg both claimed 1-0 victories at the Brann Stadion in Bergen.

Lillestroem have won just once in their last six matches. Three of those six games ended in defeat for the Canaries. Lillestroem are coming off of back to back results away from home. They have collected four points from six and will feel confident heading to Bergen.

The Canaries picked up an impressive 3-0 victory over Vaalerenga in their last away fixture. Lillestroem’s last three away matches have all seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Despite the number of goals going into the nets in Lillestroem’s last three away fixtures, they have struggled in front of goal on the road. The Canaries have tallied six goals while conceding eight on their travels.

Meanwhile, Brann’s goalscoring form at home hasn’t been much better. The Bergen club has scored six goals and conceded six at the Brann Stadion. Four of their last six home games have seen over 1.5 goals scored, however.

The last six matches between the two sides in all competitions have been evenly matched. Brann have posted a 2W-2D-2L record against Lillestroem. The teams have scored eight goals apiece.

All six matches have seen over 1.5 goals scored while three of the games have finished with more than 2.5 goals scored.

Sunday’s game will again see Brann and Lillestroem combine for over 2.5 goals as the home side takes all three points in Bergen.
