Cerezo Osaka to add to Jubilo Iwata’s recent woes

Jubilo Iwata have not enjoyed a great campaign in the J-League this season. On Saturday morning, the strugglers visit mid-table Cerezo Iwata.
The visitors are currently in the J-League relegation play-off spot, only outside of the drop zone by virtue of a superior goal difference to 17th place Gamba Osaka.
A three-game winless run in the Japanese top-flight has not helped Jubilo Iwata to move away from danger. The visitors have drawn their last two league games against Vissel Kobe and relegation rivals Gamba Osaka last time out, which meant they missed a golden opportunity to move away from the relegation zone.
Scoring goals has been a major problem for the Gamba Osaka of late, as they have failed to score in five of their last seven matches in the J-League. A poor away record has not helped their cause either, as they have claimed just two wins in their last 18 matches on their travels.
Cerezo Osaka have enjoyed an inconsistent J-League campaign so far this season and are in fact just six points above the visitors, despite their relatively comfortable position of tenth place. In truth, in their current league position, they could still challenge for a top-three spot, but they could also still be dragged into the fight for survival this season.
The home sides inconsistency has been on full display of late in the J-League, as illustrated by the fact that they have won four of their last ten outings in the Japanese top-flight.
Despite their recent mixed results in the J-League, their recent form on home soil has been promising, as they are unbeaten in three home games, having won their last two home league matches.
The recent meetings between these two teams have been close encounters, with four of the last six matches between the pair finishing in draws. However, Forebet predicts that the home side will triumph in a high-scoring clash.
