Dijon go into final day of the term with the opportunity to save their season. The club sits two point behind Caen in the race to avoid automatic relegation.

Manager Antoine Kombouare’s Dijon can move into 18th place with a win and Caen loss. An 18th-place finish would enable Dijon to play the third-place finisher in Ligue 2 in a two-legged promotion/relegation playoff.

Toulouse have finished the Ligue One season on a downward spiral, but the good news is they have been able to avoid the relegation scrap. Les Violets are winless in their last six matches with three of the games ending in losses.

Manager Alain Casanova’s team has not won any of their last six away fixtures. Their last away win came all the way back in mid-January against Nimes. They are now seven games without a win on their travels.

Due to Toulouse’s terrible away form, Dijon will be confident they can gain victory and spring a great relegation escape. Dijon are undefeated in their last three home matches with back to back games ending in victory.

The two French clubs played out a 2-2 draw in their previous meeting this season. Dijon jumped out to a 25th minute lead thanks to Naif Aguerd’s opening goal. They took that lead into halftime and doubled it 23 minutes after the restart thanks to Mehdi Abeid.

Toulouse fought back with goals from Max Gradel and Aaron Leya Isekain the final 18 minutes to claim a draw. Kombouare will rue the three points dropped against Toulouse earlier this season as those two extra points would have them level with Caen.

Dijon FCO could be hurt by player absences. Forward Romain Amalfitano will miss out due to suspension. Enzo Loiodice is a doubt for the match, but Fouad Chafik has returned to training and could make the squad.

Toulouse also have players on the shelf. Steven Fortes and Baptiste Reynet look set to miss the final day. Hakim El Mokeddem also looks set to miss out due to a thigh injury.

Dijon and Toulouse have meet seven times in all competitions dating back to 2011. Dijon have posted a 3W-3D-1L record against Toulouse during that time.

Although Dijon will be confident of a win and possible promotion/relegation series, Toulouse will once again take valuable points off of them. Their earlier draw hurt Dijon greatly and Friday the two will once again finish in a stalemate.

Dijon will drop points and be relegated as the two sides play out a draw with under 2.5 goals scored.
