Swansea City were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Hull City on the weekend despite being  2-0 up but nevertheless, The Swans have still only lost just once in their last seven matches overall in the Championship.

That defeat came in a heavy 4-0 loss away at QPR, but five wins out of their last seven matches prove that Graham Potter’s side have come on leaps and bounds under his guidance, particularly at home where they’ve won six of their last seven matches on home turf.

Indeed, Swansea City have put together a 10-match sequence at their Liberty Stadium so they’ll be confident of getting something out of this clash on Wednesday night against Derby County.

Striker and leading goalscorer, Oliver McBurnie (21 goals) has been a revelation this season since joining from Barnsley, and he looks the most likely to notch for the hosts who have scored at least once in 19 of their 22 home matches so far in this campaign.

Derby County maintained their bid for a play-off place in the Championship with an important 2-0 win away at Bristol City on Saturday at Ashton Gate which became their third win in four matches following previous wins against Bolton Wanderers and QPR.

Derby still occupy the last remaining play-off spot as they sit in 6th place but they’re level on 70 points with Middlesbrough as they make their way down to Wales to face an in-form Swansea City in their own backyard, and can’t afford any more slip-ups.

However, this may be easier said than done as Derby possess the worst away record of all the teams situated in the top six of the Championship, having already lost nine matches on their travels this season to date.

The Rams’ poor results away from home were underlined on Saturday when their win at Bristol City ended a dire run of eight matches without a win on the road, which consisted of four defeats and four draws.

An away win for Frank Lampard’s side at the Liberty Stadium therefore looks fairly unlikely, but with 13 of their 22 away matches resulting in both teams scoring, the goals markets look the best option for this encounter.

Swansea City and Derby County to both score in an entertaining clash.
