German champions set to continue good form in Leverkusen

On Saturday afternoon, Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich at the BayArena, as the visitors attempt to keep up the pressure on league leaders Dortmund.
Bayer Leverkusen have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes of late in the Bundesliga, winning three of their last four league outings. In fact, the home side are now just a point outside the European spots in the German top-flight.

Leverkusen’s recent home games in the German top-flight have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four outings.
Reigning champions Bayern Munich heads into this clash on the back of a seven-game winning run in the Bundesliga. Last time out in the league, Niko Kovac’s team recorded a 4-1 win over Stuttgart. Despite their recent good run of form, the champions are still six points behind league leaders Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga table.
Bayern’s recent Bundesliga games have been high-scoring affairs, with over 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last nine outings.
The visitor’s recent away form in the Bundesliga has been strong, as Bayern have won six of their last seven away games in the German top-flight. The one exception was a 3-2 loss at leaders Dortmund in November.
Bayern have been lethal in front of goal on their travels of late, scoring at least twice in 12 of their last 13 away matches in the Bundesliga.
